Eivät kuulemma tiedä nettikaupan jutuista siellä, mutta silti nettikaupan asiakaspalveluun on sama puhelinnumero... hämärää touhua, sanon ma.
First of all, I'm sorry for writting in english but my command of the finnish language is still sketchy at best. Does anyone know when the W4000 series will be available and in stock in Finland/Helsinki? I have a 46W4000 ordered from Jim's Store. I contacted them and they said the sets should start coming in by May 30th. Any other info regarding this? Thank you!
I don't think anybody knows for sure. I saw in the website that Sony Center in Tampere would be having W-series in the shop in the week 21 but whether that means that they are available for buying of just there for demonstration remains to be seen. I think someone said that Sony Center in Helsinki area would have them even earlier?
Thank you for your reply. So week 21 is Mon. 19 May- Sun. 25 May, if I'm not mistaken. Even if its for demostration purposes only it still gives us a good idea about when the sets start to get shipped to stores. I guess 30th of May is a good bet by Jim's store then. I guess I'll have to wait for the first or second week of June for my set to arrive then...:weep:

Official Sony 32/40/46/52 W4000 Full Hd (bravia Engine 2,33.000:1 Contrast) Thread Right I set one up very quickly earlier today(work) and had a quick play here's my thought's 1st thing I noticed was how light it was taking it out the box,its a lot lot lighter than the previous W. or any of the other 40" models. Was a little dissapointed with the built quality (from having seen every model for the past 4 years) the back panels and connection's look very plasticky and cheap. The front of the tv is not so bad looking,ive not always been a big fan of the piano finish,the blue glitter effect is very suttle and looks ok. After tunning the freeview station's and analoug stations i was plesently supprised to how good the analoug stations looked(factory settings)the freeview was very good as well(factory settings) I then popped up the menu settings(this is the new settings control that Sony have introduced its just like the PSP and PS3) navagating was quite easy if your used to this kind of menu. The other pleasent supprise was the factory setting's out the box are not in Vivid mode anymore!! so there wasnt alot to do really other than that to turn of the usual noise reduction,mpeg ie I had this set right next to the X3500 and after the quick adjustment i found the freeview picture not far off the X.Ok there was a little more noise than the X and also the picture on the X was a little smoother but you have to expect that as the X is the top LCD,but alot better than the previous W Next i turned it over to SKYHD and had another quick tweek with the settings(was watching the new extreme sports chann RushHD) and again the quality was very very close and very good,much closer than the freeview quality the colours,black and the motion where excellent. I never got the chance to watch any football,play a game or watch a bluray as it was quite late this afternoon,but will do next week(off till Sun now) So final verdict,would i reccomend it............in a short word yes its got alot going for it and i think it will do very well ok i didnt think much of the built quality but i have had the advantage of seeing the other models and to keep costs down something had to give So if you cant quite afford the X series then the new W is a very good second choice p.s I nearly forgot the Sony Logo lights up as well just like the X series
Ja toinen review... Received my 52W4000 today from cheapelectricals (pre ordered and dispatched yesterday so excellent service) I can only really give my firist impressions at this point so if you need to know anything specific, please ask me. The look was much nicer than I expected, the blue frame looks black to me, the midnight blue sparkly effect is only visible when you look very closely, it does look very nice indeed, I had a W3000 for a week before this one and I liked the look of the 3000 but much prefer the 4000 including the lower silver speakers, it all looks great when you see it in reality. (btw, I only returned the 3000 to take the 4000 as it was shown having theatre sync which it doesnt. The 3000 was fine.) The menus looks much like any previous Sony LCD to me, just different colours, there seemed to be a lot less to customize in the menus though so I put it on Cinema and turned on Theatre mode and put in Transformers HDDVD via the xbox 360 (HDMI to HDMI) The colours were excellent, the blacks looked a little better than on the 3000, but not much to my eye, an improvement nonetheless. I then went straight onto the end credits to see how smooth it ran but it was a little jumpy, the menu animations showing a window moving in a circular motion on a black background were a little jumpy too. When I say jumpy, I mean like the frame rate was slightly too slow and it was catching up to real time. Not too much and definitely not a fault. I altered settings but it was still the same. This did not seem a big issue to me, the 3000 may have done this too, Im not sure. Maybe it is just something that happens with larger LCDs until theyre more perfected? Id appreciate any advice on this. The sound was great, especially in dolby surround effect. Good enough for anything apart from films. I played some heavy metal music and cranked it up but the speakers started to vibrate around 3/4 volume. PC looks great (DVI to HDMI) as expected, beautiful colours, will look great playing online games with this screen. I didnt notice any motion blur here. Games via XBOX were fine too, motion blur was at a minimal, very nice. I noticed more heat coming off the 4000 compared to the 3000. I wasnt checking this, I was just close to it and felt the warmth off the screen, probably normal. It was lighter to carry compared to the 3000 too, and the base swivels on this 52". Overall, I would say it is an excellent TV, I am a little disappointed with the credit scrolling not being smooth enough though, apart from that is has an excellent picture and decent sound and looks classy.
Sony Centerin kertomaa: 40" lähtevät Tanskasta 18.-19.5., kuulemma se pääpaikka. Siis se määrä mitä suomeen saadaan (Sony Centeriin vai kaikkialle?) ja tosiaan siinä ~20 päivä pitäisi olla esillä pällisteltävänä. Eivät edes Sony Centerissä olleet kovin vakuuttuneita siitä, että niitä paljoa saataisiin. :weep: Kuume "pikkuhiljaa" kasvaa ja kasvaa. Täytyy käydä se 32" katselemassa, minkä näköinen se on heti ensiviikolla (jos se nyt sitten on tullut). Ei siitä muuta pysty katsomaan, kun siinä käsittääkseni on täysin eri paneeli sun muutakin eriä kuin isommissa.
No nyt on sitten omin silmin päässyt katselemaan 32W4000 mallia. Se sininen ei todellakaan ole semmoinen "hölmönsininen" vaan näyttää loisteputkenkin alla enempikin pianolakatulta mustalta kuin siniseltä. Jostain tietystä kulmasta katsottuna reunat hohtaa sinistä hilettä ainoastaan. Se paneelin alapuolella oleva "ikkuna", ennen kaiuttimia, on muovipleksi jossa on jotain himmeitä vihreitä merkkivaloja ja pleksi ei ole ihan kirkas vaan semmoinen hiukan savumainen. Kyllä siitä oikeastikin läpi näkee ja jakanee hiukan mielipiteitä mutta henkilökohtaisesta mielestä ei niin epäonnistunut kuin netissä olevista kuvista pelkäsi. Sony merkki on valaistu mutta sen saa halutessaan pois päältäkin, ihan jees lesoiluominaisuus. Suomeen tuleva virallinen malli on K loppukirjaimeltaan. Kertoivat, että niissä muissa on jonkinmoisia tekstitysongelmia. Kannattaa siis tarkistaa, jos TV:tä aikoo katsella myös, että on ostamassa xxW4000K-mallia. Kuvasta, yläpuolella oli wanha D-malli ja siihen verrattuna kuva oli todella plasmamainen hyvässä mielessä. Viereisellä seinällä oli X-sarjalainen ja verrattuna siihen, johtuneeko sitten säädöistä vai mistä mutta samalla televisiokanavakuvalla W4000 vei voiton myös. Kontrasti on harpannut todella mojovasti ylöspäin tehden kuvasta ... noh, plasmamaisen. Täytyy vielä muistaa, että 32W4000 on 8-bittisellä paneelilla ja isommat paneelit on 10-bittisiä, joten melko innolla kyllä odotan niiden kuvanlaatua. Ensivaikutelmat, ei todellakaan ollut huono odotus tuo W4000. Todella hyvää kuvaa, järkevähköön hintaan. Tällä hetkellä taitaa kilpailijat olla todella vähissä tuolle. Voin veikata, että tulevassa TM-vertailussa kyseinen töllötin nappaa ansaitun ykkössijan helposti. Erikoismaininnan ansaitsee Kämp gallerian Sony Center myyjä. Kaverilta sai, nykyisin hiukan harvinaista, aitoa palvelua. :thumbsup:
Unohtui mainita, että käyttäminen on tuttua PS3 omistajille. Tuossa on siis sama käyttölogiikka kuin PS3:ssa.
Porissa sain tarjouksen kahdesta liikkeestä, molemmissa hinta 2450e. Tosin nyt tuli järjetön hinkun ostaa Pioneerin plasma PDP-LX508D 3500 euroon. Täytyy sanoa, etä kuva on aivan jotain uskomatonta eikä sitä kyllä ole turhaan valittu EISA:n parhaaksi 50" plasmaksi. Panasonicin uusi VIERA plasma oli täysin altavastaaja kuvan laadussa. Suosittelen jokaiselle pikku tutustumista tuohon Pioneeriin niin ymmärtää mitä esim. musta voi televisiossa olla, puhumattakaan väritoistosta.
Eiköhän se hieman alas tule vielä. Sony oli vahvin ehdokas siihen asti kunnes kävin katsomassa tuota edellä mainittua Pioneeria. Nyt alkoivat sormet pahasti syyhytä siihen. Hinta tosin pompaa tuonne 3650e kun ottaa vielä kaiuttimet siihen...nehän ovat lisävaruste Tosin...olisihan se Sony varmasti itselle täysin riittävä...mutta mutta...
Miten noissa Sony:ssa hoidetaan firmware päivitykset? Eli voiko itse päivittää vai täytyykö oikeasti viedä huoltoon. Ja onko aiemmin pystynyt käyttämään esim. E:lle tarkoitettua firmwarea K:mallille? Täällä on pohdittu tietokoneen kytkemisestä, niin olen hyvin varma, että HDMI:n kautta saa maksimiresoluutiolla kytkettyä. Kai se on nyt laitettava E-malli vaan tilaukseen.
Jenkeissä w4100 mallissa on motionflow.Euroversiossa ei tietenkään.Euro w4000 vastaa jenkkien v4100 mallia joka on halpis versio.Taas saatiin täyttä kuraa europpaan ja tietenki kalliimmalla hinnalla.Alkaa nää sonyn hommat jo pikku hiljaa nyppii nii että ostan uhallaki samsungin tai pioneerin.
"Täyttä kuraa" on aika rankka ilmaus siihen nähden, että W4000 on useassa yhteydessä mainittu ensimmäisten kokemusten mukaan parempikuvaiseksi kuin kohtuullisen kehuttu X3000 / 3500. Ainakaan tähän mennessä missään ei ole 100Hz:n / motionflown puuttumista pidetty suurena miinuksena, koska liiketoisto on ilmeisesti hyvää luokkaa. Toki odotellaan nyt "kunnon" arvosteluja ensin, mutta en lähtisi välttämättä tuon motionflown takia ryttäämään tätä mallia. Itsellä on harkinnassa joko tämä tai Samsungin A656 ja alan todella epäillä, onko Sampan 100Hz ja extrakontrasti hintaeron arvoinen erityisesti kun Sampassa 100Hz-moodia ei juuri kehoteta pitämään päällä oikein missään tilanteessa. Tämä koskee käsittääkseni yleisesti LCD-töllöjä ja on suorastaan "ohjenuorana" esimerkiksi hdtvtestin artikkeleissa.
No nii. Kävin perjantaina poistamassa Jumbon Sony Centeristä 32" version. Ensikokemusten perusteella olen todella tyytyväinen. Tässä nyt olen katsellut kaapelista Discoveryä, Nelosta, Yleä ja kaikki näyttävät oikein hyvältä paitsi Ylen kakkoselta jääkiekkolähetys, aikamoista kuraa mutta jostain luin että noiden lähetysten laatu ei ole ollut kummoinenkaan. Perjantaina ehdin kokeilla pikaisesti DVD:ltä Riddickin aikakirjoja ja näytti erittäin hyvältä tuolla Sonyn perus DVD-sorvilla. Kiinni scartilla ja RGB. Manuskaakaan ei ole tarvinnut avata :thumbsup: joten käyttö näin alkuun luonnistuu mukavasti. USB-tikulta katseltiin kuvia ja ne vasta hienoilta näyttivätkin:king:. Säätöihin en ole vielä kajonnut. Pitää tutkia lisää.
Ai, outoa, eilen en tuota töllöä siellä nähnyt, tosin kurkin vain hieman ennen avaamista lasien takaa liikkeeseen...
Niin? Olisi ehkä kannattanut mennä liikkeeseen sisälle astikin, kyllä se siellä on näytillä... Lupailivat nyt tulevana viikkona jo 52W4000 myös sinne näytille. 40" ja 46" tulevat hiukan myöhemmin. Mutta 52" on sama paneeli kuin noissa myöhemmin tulevissa, joten siitä voi tavallaan jo vertailla ja hakea "tuntumaa". Kuten yllä tuli mainittua 32W4000 ei anna ihan tarkkaa tuntumaa, kun siinä on 8bit paneeli ja suuremmissa on 10bit. Hyvältä silti näytti sekin, tosin säädöillä saa paljon aikaan jos jotakin halutaan myydä ja laitetaan viereiset tarkoituksella heikompilaatuisiksi mutta tuskinpa on asianlaita näin. Meikäläinen ainakin hyvin jo vakuuttui W4000 laadukkuudesta.
