Halloween: The Complete Collection Blu-ray (23. syyskuuta 2014)

Tässä on joitakin tietoja kyseisestä Halloween julkaisusta. Shout Factory ilmoittaa virallisempaa tietoa muutamien kuukausien sisällä (bonuksista ymn.).

Erot normaali boxin (10disc) ja Delux boxin (15disc) välillä ovat:

-On epäselvää sisältääkö normaali boxi lainkaan ekstroja?
-Normaali boxi sisältää ainoastaan elokuvien teatteri versiot ja Delux sisältää näiden lisäksi Halloween: TV Cut, Halloweeni II: TV Cut (lähempänä sitä mitä ohjaaja Rick Rosenthal halusi elokuvalta mm. vähemmän gorea), Halloween 6: Producer`s Cut (mielestäni parempi versio), Unrated versiot Rob Zombies Halloween elokuvista ja ennen näkemättömiä ekstroja.

Yleistä:

-Levyt ovat Region A
-Jokainen levy on omissa normaalin kokoisissa koteloissa (mustia) ja alkuperäisillä juliste kuvilla:thumbsup:. Viralliset kansikuvat julkaistaan kesäkuussa.
-Tämän julkaisee virallisesti Anchor Bay.
-Halloween sisältää alkuperäisen mono äänen.
-Halloween II TV-Cut tulee olemaan DVD.
-Halloween 6, H20 ja Halloween 8 osalta on epäilyksiä, että nämä tulisivat saamaan uudet transferit (aikaisemmin Echo Bridge, jolla ei ole enään oikeuksia elokuviin). Shout Factory on tunnetusti hoitanut itse Blu-ray siirrot.
-Delux Setissä oleva Halloween 6: The Producer`s Cutin HD transferista ei ole varmuutta. Ilmoituksen mukaan he käyttävät elokuvan alkuperäistä negatiiviä, joka mahdollistaa HDn.

It also comes with a limited edition 40-page book written by Michael Gingold of Fangoria Magazine. The collectible packaging will include a newly commissioned illustration on the outer case and each film will be in its own black Blu-ray case with the original theatrical one sheet as the key art.

Normaali boxissa on ilmeisesti vain ensinmäiset 10 levyä.

Halloween 6: The Producer's Cut tulee olemaan Blu-ray.

Delux boxi (10disc boxi?) tulee sisältämään Michael Lives: The Making of Halloween 4,5 tunnin dokumentin (Rob Zombie Halloween 2007).

 

Halloween 6 käsikirjoittaja ja säveltäjä ovat tekemässä komenttiraidan The Producer's Cutiin.

Voiko edes haaveilla, että tämä boxi julkaistaan myös suomeksi tekstitettynä?

 

Epäilen vahvasti, että näin tulisi tapahtumaan? Halloween elokuvia ei ole aikasemminkaan julkaistu blu-rayna suomi tekstein (paitsi directors cut Halloween 2 2009). En kyllä muista julkaistiinko Halloween (1978) ja Halloween II (1981) leffoja edes suomi tekstein dvdnä?

 

Halloween (1978) on julkaistu ainakin heikohkona letterbox-versiona (Future?) ja siinä oli mielestäni tekstitys suomeksi.

 

Ainakin Halloween on tullut dvd:nä 2001. Nyt jo loppu. Samaten Halloween 2 näyttää tulleen dvd:nä 2004. Sekin loppu. Listauksen mukaan molemmissa on ollut suomitekstit ja tuon ekan olen DVD:nä nähnytkin. En ole varma, vaikka olisi ollut jopa hyllyssä joskus.

 

Update from Anchor Bay on possible international release:

Our international team is currently in the process of trying to lock down an international release. It is a highly complicated deal with so many studios involved but we are trying to make it happen. Hopefully we will be able t announce soon. As far as the US version, it will be region 1 only.

Toivotaan, että julkastaisiin myös euroopassa ja mielellään tuo 15 levyn setti. Suomi tekstein tätä on luultavasti turha odottaa.

 

No oishan toi hieno uutinen. Mutta, niin kuin tuossaki lukee. Monta eri julkaisija ja haasteet varmasti sen mukaiset.

Hyvältä näyttää. Tätä julkaisua odotan enemmän kuin mitään aikaisempia julkaisuja (Star Wars The Complete Saga ymn.).
Vaikkakin julkaisu sisältää yhden LOISTAVAN elokuvan (Halloween (1978)), muutaman hyvän (Halloween II (1981), Halloween II (2009 salainen paheeni) , muutamia semi hyviä (Halloween 3, Halloween 4, Halloween 6 Producer's Cut), muutaman "ihan" katsottavan (Halloween 5, Halloween 6, H20, Halloween (2007)) ja yhden surkean (Halloween: Resurrection).

Julkaisussa kiinnostaa erityisesti ekstrat. Itseäni yleisesti ottaen kiinnostaa enemmän niin sanottujen "B-elokuvien" (yleensä kauhuelokuvia) tekemisestä kertovat ekstrat/komenttiraidat, kuin ns. valtavirta leffojen.
Kiinnostus siihen miten ohjaaja/käsikirjoittaja ovat päätynyt ratkaisuihin, jotka johtivat esim. Halloween: Resurrectionin kaltaiseen pökäleeseen (budjetin vähyys ymn.).

Ikävää, että Rob Zombien Halloween elokuvista saadaan vain unrated versiot. UK Blu-ray Halloween II on teatteriversio (tämä minulla on). Itse en tule ostamaan, vaikka hienolta näyttää. Syy siihen on se että mä tykkään vaan alkuperäsestä todella paljon ja 2-3 oli ihan hyviä. Halloween 3 on aliarvostettu ja.. Aika hauska, ihmiset vihaa Halloween 3:sta koska ei oo Michael Myerstä. Mutta sulla on Michael Myers joka itkee Halloween 5:ssa, sulla on Michael Myers jota ohjataan taikakivillä Halloween 6:ssa. Sulla on Halloween Resurrection jossa hän pystyy sekunnissa vaihtamaan toisen tyypin kanssa että Jamie Lee Curtis tappaa sen tyypin. Sulla on remake, jossa hän on pummi ja tulee cracktalosta. Sitten hän puhuu Halloween 2 remakessa, hän on joku 2 metrinen pummi ja hän näkee valkoisia hevosia.. Mutta Halloween 3 on huono? Selittäkää mulle.

Halloween sarja mielestäni pysyy vaan alkuperänen Halloween, sen jälkeen siitä ei tullut pitää pelottavaa niin kuin se eka oli, koska hän tulee automaattisesti takas.9

 

Samoilla linjoilla täälläkin, toki "producer's cut of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers" olisi hienoa nähdä HD:nä
Boksin halloween II & III ei myöskään sisällä lainkaan enkku tekstitystä, mistä miinusta.

 

Enkku tekstien puute Halloween II ja III osalta on kyllä ikävä puute. Mutta Halloween II on tullut nähtyä niin monta kertaa (suomi tekstein), että muistan jo vuorosanat lähes ulkoa. Eikä se puhuttu englanti näissä elokuvissa kovin vaikeata ole ja juonesta pysyy kiinni ilman tekstejäkin.

Producer`s cut Halloween kuutosesta HD:nä on tämän boxin ns. "jalokivi". Tämän version julkaisua olen odottanut iäisyyden (hyvällä kuvalla/äänellä), kuten Nightbreed Director`s Cut versiota (tänä vuonna odotukset palkitaan näiden osalta:thumbsup. Kummatkaan versiot Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myersista eivät missään nimessä ole elokuvina hääppöisiä (Producer`s Cut parempi), mutta versioiden erilaisuus on jo sinäänsä saavutus.

Yksittäisen elokuvan (halloween 1-8+RZ Halloween 1-2) hinnaksi tulee tilattuna n. 8e+tullit ymn. ja tämän lisäksi saa elokuvien eri versioita + rutkasti ekstroja elokuvien tekemisestä.
Tämä boxi ei ole ns. läpikustu julkaisu kuten Friday the 13th: The Complete Collection (leikattuja versioita (r-rated), ei aitoa 3Dtä ymn.), A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection (ykkönen ja viitonen "leikattuja"(r-rated)) ja ilmeisesti tuleva
The Exorcist: The Complete Anthology (Exorcist II ja III blu-ray ei sisällä ilmeisesti mitään ekstroja esim. näiden "ongelmallisten " jatko-osien teosta kertovat dokumentit olisivat olleet todella mielenkiintoisia, esim kertomus Warner Brothersin, Friedkinin ja Blattyn $500,000 lounaasta http://www.the-exorcist.co.uk/articles/selfpossessed.htm).

Puutteita tässä Halloween julkaisussa on esim. puuttuvien dokumenttien muodossa (jotka itse olisin sisällyttänyt boxiin) esim. Halloween: 25 Years of Terror, Going to Pieces.

Tätä julkaisua tässä muodossa on luultavasti turha odottaa rantautuvan tänne, ikinä.

 

Näköään myöskään H2O:ssa ei ole mitään tekstejä.

Canadan amazonista irtosi juurikin tämä 15levyn boksi about 66€ + postit, ja tulihan se nyt sittenkin tilattua
