Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced today that 1999’s acclaimed sci-fi action classic The Matrix will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and Digital on May 22nd. Olet kyllä oikeassa. Itse yyper kovana Kubrick fanina tulen varmaan tilaamaan tämänkin myös. Tosin taidan taas odotella koko settiä ennen, kuin tilaan.
En olisi odottanut tätä vielä tulevaksi, vaikka kyseessä onkin erittäin tunnettu ja suosittu sarja. Eiköstä 1. kausi ole kuvattu ihan 1080p ammattilaiskameroilla (HDCAM SR) ja vasta toisesta kaudesta lähtien on ollut käytössä tarkempaa resoluutiota. Tosin kaikki kaudet on ymmärtääkseni tuotettu vain 1080p tai 2k DI:llä. HBO:lla ei taida vieläkään olla mitään 4K-vaatimuksia alkuperäistuotannolleen, kuten Netflixillä on ollut oikeastaan alusta asti.
