Description: "When the LAPD kills several members of the South Central gang Street Thunder, the remaining members avenge themselves by way of a bloody war waged against cops and citizens alike. Caught in the crossfire is Lt. Ethan Bishop (Austin Stoker), who's managing a skeleton crew at the local and soon-to-be-closed police precinct. As the gang members close in, Bishop forms an unlikely alliance with a group of prisoners in order to defend the station and the lives of everyone in it."
Arrow Video Lovers Lane (1999) "Passions are aroused and old wounds reopened in this sassy post-Scream teen slasher based on the urban legend of “The Hook”." "A steamy secret tryst that was brutally cut short on Valentine’s Day an unlucky thirteen years ago comes back to haunt the teens who linger around the lovers lane where the double slaying took place. The County Sheriff Tom Anderson (Matt Riedy) has just about come to terms with the fact that it was his wife who died in another man’s car on that fateful night. His daughter Mandy (Erin J. Dean), who as a four-year-old saw her mother’s corpse carried away from the scene, has a different take on things. It doesn’t help that her classmate Michael (Riley Smith) lost his father to the same hook-handed homicidal maniac in that night’s incident. To cap it all off, as another Valentine’s Day comes round, reports come through that the man arrested as “The Hook” has just bust out of his asylum." Prepare yourself for the ultimate hook up in a scream-a-minute rollercoaster that marked the film debut of Anna Faris (the Scary Movie series; Lost in Translation). Scream Factory has detailed its upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of William Peter Blatty 's The Exorcist III (1990), starring George C. Scott, Ed Flanders, Brad Dourif, Jason Miller, and Nicol Williamson. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on March 28. Label description: "For more than fifteen years, Police Lieutenant Kinderman (George C. Scott) has been haunted by the death of his friend Father Damien Karras. Now, on the 15th anniversary of the exorcism that claimed the priest's life, Kinderman's world is once again shattered when a boy is found decapitated and savagely crucified. It's just the beginning of a nightmare series of bizarre religious murders." "When a psychopath claiming to be the infamous Gemini Killer admits responsibility for all the murders, Kinderman is confronted with a horrifying truth that he cannot begin to explain … the man does know intimate details that only the true killer could possibly know. There's only one problem … the Gemini Killer died in the electric chair fifteen years ago!" Täällä ei varmaankaan ole raportoitu Excalibur Median tulevia blu-ray ja limited poster edition julkaisuja: Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid Wag The Dog Giant Grumpy Old Men Raid on Rommel Excalibur You've Got Mail Dangerous Liansions Cobra Frantic Tango & Cash Lost Boys Curious Case of Benjamin Button Witches of Eastwick Rio Bravo Jeremiah Johnson Funny Farm Next of Kin Any Given Sunday Barry Lyndon Nämä poimin siis blu-ray.comin julkaisukalanterista ajalta 2-7/2023 ja varmaan jotain jäi välistäkin. Osa noista on jo aikaisemminkin julkaistu, mutta osa taas ihan uusia pohjoismaissa. Toivottavasti EMI saisi kunnon ääniraidat näihin. Suomalaisen Elokuvakaupan tulevat listoilta myös muutama poiminta: Infernal Affairs 1-3 Shout at the Devil Street Fighter elokuvia 3 kpl.
Frantic-leffan pohjoismainen julkaisu on kyllä tervetullut asia.
Optisen median julkaisumäärät on mitä on, kuten yleisesti hyvin tiedossa.
Sisällöllisen harmoniansa (mikä on kaikkea paitsi päivänselvyys jo genrenkin huomioiden) lisäksi alkuperäisfilmauksen ankaralla psykologisella kurssilla vakuuttaavasti jatkava Manaaja III on yksi kauneimmin kuvatuista kauhuelokuvista, jonka suuri yleisö tuntuu tyystin unohtaneen.
Siksi tervetullutta minusta.
Siis velvollisuutesi on estää tasokkaiden genre-elokuvien ilmestyminen teattereihin? Taisit kompastua omaan verbaaliseen nokkeluuteesi.
