If they look even half as good as the company’s recent 4K release of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1967 – see our review here), they’ll be well worth the wait. Olen nähnyt Outsiderin varmaan viimeksi 90-luvun alussa VHS-nauhalta, jolloin iso osa päähenkilöistä oli saanut aikaiseksi jo jotain muuta, mitä olin nähnyt. Muistan pettyneeni ja siksi ei jäänyt tarvetta hankkia myöhemmin levynä, mutta nyt aion ostaa ihan mielenkiinnosta nähdä kaikki nuo näyttelijät aloittelemassa uraansa ja tarkistaakseni onko aika muuttanut mielipidettäni. Ehkä en silloin vain ymmärtänyt?
Eilen pääsin katsastaan 4K version ja olihan huikean hyvän näköistä jälkeä. Todellakin näkyy, että on lähdetty kameranegatiiveista liikkeelle. Kuvan moderni HDR-käsittely tuo vanhaan elokuvaan aika saturoituneet värit, mutta hyvältä näyttää joka tapauksessa. 4K digipack on myös kohtuullisen hieno setti CD-soundtrackkeineen. Vinegar Syndromen Flesh 4K/3D julkaisua on huhuiltu syksyn Black Fridayn alen yhteyteen.
Samaa mieltä todella hyvä kuva 4k hdr versiossa, kokeilin perään siinä ollutta blurayta joka oli selvästi latteampi, katsoin Samsung Q80r:llä.
