Samana päivänä tulee myös Bruce Lee collection, eli siis 8.10.2018 Kuten muutama muukin on maininnut niin näissä leffoissa tunnelma on juurikin kohdillaan huonon enkku dubbauksen kanssa.
Katsoin toissa iltana Once Upon a Time in China HKL vanhan DVD julkaisun ja en muista koskaan nähneeni, niin pahasti ryssittyä sound mixiä. Sen jälkeen naapurin Irman dubbaus äänikään ei saisi Bruce Leetä kuullostamaan huonolta tuon rinnalla. Voipi olla, että tilaan tuon Jackie Chan kokoelman ja tilaan jostain muualta sitten Bruce Leet oikeilla kielillä. Tosin taisi olla, niin, että Bruce Lee ei ole noihin alkupään elokuviin antanut edes omaa ääntä.

Hienolta näyttää. Mutta missään tapauksessa en enää osta bluraytä. Aika monta julkaisua tästä on jo ostettu ja joka kerta petetty. Elokuvissa aikanaan nähty ja vaikea sitä on päästä edes lähelle, ilman UHD:tä
Onko koko viestisi sarkasmia? Jos tuo on 4k-skannauksen tulos, niin jatkossa voikin ruveta remasteroimaan leffoja ihan kotioloissa. Multa saa bdr:n hinnalla mm. Platoon Gaussian Blur editionia.

Liittyen nyt näihin Chan- ja Lee-boxeihin. Tässä pätkässä on oivasti osoitetu mikä niissä dubbauksissa niin perseestä on. Niissä kun ei ole vain puheet vaihtuneet vaan musiikit ja efektit myös. Dubbauksista huolimatta menee itselläkin ostoon. Jos nyt johonkin erityisesti tykästyn, niin sitten voinee ruveta etsimään parempia julkaisuja.

Nemesis Collectors Edition (1992) tulossa joulukuussa 11. päivä. Tätä käytiin joskus 90-luvulla VHS-aikaan jossain Stadin keskustan pikkuteatterissa katsomassa ilman tekstejä. Oikein kolme versiota. Kaksi tosin SD-laadulla ja juuri ne jotka kiinnostaisi. Että oikein Thomas Jane ja Jackie Earle Haley. Mahtavat olla nuoren näköisiä, kun en heitä muista, mutta edellisestä katselukerrasta on kyllä vierähtänyt tovi. Tulisipa hyvä julkaisu niin voisi verestellä nuoruuden muistoja. En ole aikaisempia julkaisuja viitsinyt hankkia, kun on niitä kovin haukuttu.

Tuo European Ulysses Cut vielä pidempi kuin US TV cut vai aivan eriversio? Paljon olen huhuja kuullut noista pidemmistä versioista ja kovasti haluan nähdä parantavatko elokuvaa. Entä kuvasuhde? Ei kai TV cut tarkoita 1.33? Jos on tehty 4K scan, tuleeko kohta UHD?
Tuossa jotain kohtauksia mitkä ovat lisätty tuohon European Ulysses Cut versioon, mitkä puuttuivat tv versiosta (kielenkäyttöä, väkivaltaa, alastomuutta ymn): "In 1998 ABC premiered Waterworld as a two-night event with an additional 40 minutes of footage that was never seen during its theatrical run. These additional scenes make for a more solid cohesion of the film and fill some previous plot holes. However, despite being much longer then the theatrical cut, the ABC cut was heavily edited for language, violence, action, some nudity.
